Everyone feels good when other people notice their hard work. You can tell the peer researcher when they are doing a good job. Give positive feedback and let them know that you noticed their hard work.

For example, Lin, a new team member, and Sam, and experienced peer supporter, were working on a presentation. Lin worked really hard to practice his slides. Sam, the experienced peer supporter, gave him a high five.

You can celebrate when your team meets a goal or the peer researcher does something new. You can share what you have noticed and celebrate successes when you meet with the peer supporter and during bigger team meetings.

For example, at the next team meeting, Sam told the entire team that Lin did a great job practicing his slides. The entire team clapped for Lin.

There are many ways to tell someone they did a good job:

Things you could say... Things you could do...
I like how you work.
Good job today.

Congratulations!
