Who are peer supporters?

If you are a peer supporter in research, you will help someone like you be a part of a research team.

They are your “peer” because:

• You and the peer might be around the same age
• You and the peer have a disability
• You and the peer work on the same research team
• You and the peer like to do the same things

Peer supporters are someone who:

• Helps a peer to do or learn new things
• Helps a peer by telling them about their own experiences
• Listens to a peer
