In working with our providers and patients, our pharmacists recommend statin therapy for prevention of cardiovascular disease to improve patient outcomes and to deliver on performance measures.
SUPD/SPC
Patients 40 to 75 years of age with diabetes should be taking a moderate-intensity statin or maximally tolerated statin to lower the risk of ASCVD.*
Patients with established ASCVD should be taking a moderate- to high-intensity statin.**
ACSVD*** is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality in the United States.
Statin use lowers the risk of ASCVD events and mortality.
It's time to address gaps in care.
