Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

  • Contact patients
  • Receive and respond to inbound and outbound calls
  • Verify HIPAA
  • Introduce and explain the clinical service and transfer or schedule the call
  • Work closely with the clinical team and take appropriate actions and use critical thinking skills to escalate calls to appropriate parties when needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum High school diploma required
  • Current and active California licensed pharmacy technician
  • PTCB (Preferred)

Expectations

  • Support the clinical team in providing outstanding patient service.
  • Ability to communicate with the population served, utilizing age specific techniques. Special projects or other assignments may be given with expectations to be completed in a specified time frame
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to operate computer/multiple screens to input and retrieve data.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meet productivity and performance expectations set forth by manager
  • Minimum High school diploma required
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently or with a team
  • Must have strong public speaking skills and be able to deliver daily presentations over the phone

Experience

  • Outpatient/Inpatient pharmacy setting

Work Location

  • San Diego or Alhambra
